For M-LiNk's fourth session, MHA offered a help session on the newly developed Mortality Self-Assessment Tool , held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, from 1-2pm via webinar.
As part of the Mortality Learning-in-Network initiative, a self assessment tool was developed to assist hospital teams to identify stages of mortality program development and clarify goals for mortality reduction. During this session, participants were provided with a walk-through of the tool with their team and details on application, analysis and opportunities to use results to identify areas for internal improvement and goal-setting for mortality reduction.
This session was an effort to encourage and support hospitals to 'test-run' the tool, striving for wider application of its use at MA hospitals. Feel free to contact Pat Noga for more information on the tool and associated resources.
